Whether you’re looking to spice up your look for the new season, or you want to indulge in some well-deserved ‘you time’, nail treatments are the answer.
But with so many nail treatments available, how do you choose the right one for you? In this blog, we’ll go over the different nail treatments available in our Bideford salon, as well as providing guidance as to what you get with each package. From manicures to pedicures to acrylic infills, keep reading to discover the best option for you.
Manicures are perfect when you want to kick back, relax, and come away with a fresh set of fabulous nails. Here at Beauty & The Bleach, we have a variety of different manicures available that’ll have you feeling wonderfully relaxed.
Our manicures are available with additional nail art for £2. We can also offer detailed nail art on most fingers for an extra £10.
Your standard manicure will include your nails will be buffed, shaped and filed, the cuticles cleaned, and then we’ll apply a standard nail polish to create the look of your choice.
Manicures are a great option because there is no damage to the nail; in fact, a manicure is a great option if your nails are unhealthy or a feeling a bit rough from previous treatments. This is also one of our cheapest nail treatments, priced at £25.
This option is similar to the above, with the same benefits of improved nail health and a fresh new look. However, in this treatment, we’ll use a gel-based polish. Unlike the standard polish which lasts approximately 1-2 weeks, gel polish not only helps strengthen your natural nail but can also last 3-6 weeks before they need to be taken off, sometimes longer depending on your nail growth.
The biggest advantage of gel manicures is that they last longer. Few things are more frustrating in the world of salon treatments than getting a perfectly applied manicure, only to chip it a couple of days later. With gel, this isn’t a problem; gel is far longer-lasting than usual polish, and can remain intact for weeks at a time. After the polish has been applied, we’ll use a UV light to lock it onto your nails for maximum durability.
A French manicure is iconic in the nail world and, like all classics, never goes completely out of style. This timeless trend actually boomed back in 2019, and when applied will give you that effortlessly elegant look it's so well known for.
A French manicure is applied the same way as a typical gel manicure, however instead of block colour you’ll have a beige or pale pink base, with white polish tips. Because we use gel for these, you’ll get the same longer-lasting advantages as a typical gel manicure. These will set you back £35.
If you really want to indulge - and you know you deserve to - our luxury manicures are just the thing. Creating the same gorgeous looks supplied by our usual gel or polish manicures, this treatment will take things to the next level. Including massages, heat treatments and moisturising, your hands will be soothed, and your nails hydrated and revitalised.
Between the day-to-day grind of working, cleaning, driving, cooking and more, your hands go through a lot. This is the ultimate treatment for improving nail health while enjoying a bit of TLC. Our luxury manicures are available for £36.
If it’s hard for your hands, your feet have it even worse. But there’s no better way to relax after a busy week rushed off your feet than winding down with a pedicure. Want to look glam in some heels, or planning a holiday somewhere warm enough to wear sandals outside of summer? These treatments will have you looking and feeling your best.
Like manicures, additional nail art can be applied to your toenails with additional costs.
All the benefits of a standard manicure, but on your toe nails. Our nail tech will trim and file your nails, clean your cuticles before offering exfoliating and hydrating treatments to your feet. You can then pick your choice of polish to create your dream look. Our polish pedicures are available from £27.
Just like with manicures, a gel polish pedicure will keep your nails looking lavish for longer. If you’re on your feet all day (or even just for some of it), the unfortunate truth is that chipping is likely to happen. This gel treatment will be far more durable, which should last around 6-8 weeks and is on offer from £32.
The clue’s in the name for this treatment. Using gel for maximum durability, with the same steps as our standard polish pedicures. This one will set you back £36.
A luxury pedicure will (literally) keep you on your toes. We spend so much time rushing around getting life done. It’s high time you took some time out of your day to indulge. A luxury pedicure includes a soak and scrub, shaving any dead skin off the soles off your feet as well as a massage, and is more of a whole foot treatment that’ll have you feeling refreshed.
Of course, it also includes a polish treatment, so as well as feeling utterly relaxed, you’ll also be looking better than ever. Book this treatment with us for £40.
Want something a bit different? Then Hollywood Toes are the way to go. This treatment involves applying a gel polish overlay and then we top it off with nail glitter on every single toe, perfect for going away on holiday or for a special occasion. It’s a longer-lasting way to apply colour or nail art to your toes, lasting about 6 - 8 weeks.
The benefits of this include no chipping. It will retain the colour of the polish for longer. Like other pedicure treatments, you can choose between different colours and glitter on every single toe. Our current price is £34 for this one.
If you’ve caught the acrylic nails bug, Beauty & The Bleach is the place to go. Acrylics are a popular choice for a good reason; they’re longer-lasting, and really put the ‘art’ in nail art. Our nail techs can provide you with a huge variety of different designs, whether you want to follow the latest trends or stand out from the crowd with something more creative.
Acrylic nails are created with a mix of powder and liquid monomer. After cleaning, soaking and filing your natural nails, your nail tech will attach this mixture to your nail plate by using an adhesive. Acrylics are strong, meaning that once they are attached, the nail tech can file, buff or shape them to your liking. After this, it all comes down to your own creativity; coloured polish and nail art detail can be added to your liking.
For a full set of acrylics, prices start at £37.
After a few weeks, you’ll start to notice your nails naturally regrowing (even the best nail techs can’t stop this, unfortunately), and at that point, you can opt for infills rather than removing your acrylics and getting a new set.
We offer a 2 week infill with a gel overlay for £26. For a 3 week infill, it’ll be £30. For bespoke detailed anil art on each finger add £7 to these prices.
Combining the best of both worlds, the timeless French manicure trend with the freedom of sculptured acrylics. Perfectly blending two of our favourite treatments, French sculptured acrylics are easily elegant and ultra sophisticated.
Your nails will look classically pretty, but the additional sculpted look will give your hands a little bit of extra oomph. This is one of our most luxurious nail treatments, costing £40 to get your nails looking dreamy.
Acrylics - and this applies to all the acrylic treatments we offer - aren’t necessarily damaging to your nails… that is, if they’re applied and removed properly. If the time has come to say goodbye to your acrylics, please book in for a removal with us to avoid damaging your natural nails.
Ready to book your next nail treatment? Manicure, pedicure or a creative acrylic dream, whatever the style you’re looking for, our talented nail techs have got your back.
