We’re always looking for ways to keep on top of our game and ensure we’re offering as many services and treatments we can to our fantastic and lovely clients, and our latest offering is sure to be one which will get you all excited.
Alongside all this fantastic news, it’s also our 4th BIRTHDAY TODAY (17th September)! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US! Time really does fly, it only feels like yesterday we flung the doors open and started this adventure so the fact we’re now 4 is sooooo amazing and we’re so grateful for all our wonderful clients and the friends we’ve made in that time.
Lisa has recently completed her anatomy and physiology exam, which means that she’s now completely qualified to offer this exclusive treatment. But first things first - what is it?
So first things first, what are these amazing new treatments? For anyone who might not know, we’ll get you up to date.
Brow Lamination, to put it simply, is the process of reshaping your brow hairs to keep them in place for the right look you want. This works perfectly for anyone who feels their brow hairs are in the wrong direction, or if there are any gaps or even if you want them in a different shape or look. The lamination involves two different treatment solutions, the first is brushed through the eyebrow hair and left on for 20 minutes which will make the brow hair softer and easier to put into place. Once they’ve been brushed into the right shape a laminating solution is applied which then keeps the hairs in their right place. The treatment can last for up to 8 weeks, giving you 2 months of that perfect look before needing a top up. All our brow lamination treatments include a tint and wax as standard.
Henna Brows are a semi-permanent, natural eyebrow tinting treatment, they work by staining the skin underneath the hair which then creates the effect of fullness, filling in any areas of the brow which might be more bare. Henna has been used to dye the skin and hair for years, especially in the East of the world, but Henna brow tints have been specifically designed to cater for eyebrow colour and appear fluffier and more natural than traditional brow dye. The first step in treatment is to cleanse the skin and remove any oils to ensure it’s ready for the Henna application. We will then measure and shape the brows before applying a white paste around your eyebrows that acts as a barrier to give the new, defined shape. After the paste has been applied, we then move onto adding the Henna, which we need to push onto the skin to ensure it’s applied in between all the hair and sits on the skin to create the fuller effect. Once this has been applied, we leave it to sit for 10-20 mins and once it’s finished developing, we wipe it away and then complete a wax to leave a high definition effect. Treatments can last for up to 6 weeks, but it does depend on skin type, as those who have oilier skin will likely see it fade quicker and for those with dry skin it will last longer.
Brow lamination is a great choice for anyone looking for alternatives for microblading, which some people find painful and which works on the skin, not the hair. Lamination will add definition and thickness as well as colour and most importantly, there’s no after-effects with the treatment, meaning there’s no time you need to let them heal. Thick brow hair will benefit from this treatment as it can fix thicker hairs into place, whereas thinner brows will see a fuller look and can be styled to help cover more sparse areas. Does this sound like the kind of treatment you need? If so, get in touch here and talk to our specialist Lisa about a consultation and whether this is what you need to complete your perfect look.
Henna Brows offer a fuller, more 3D effect than traditional tinting as they stain the skin and not the hair and for those with little brow hair it’s extremely effective in adding fill and then allowing you a base shape to follow. It also works well on grey hairs too as well as encouraging hair to grow back fuller in all the right places. What’s more, henna brows are completely and 100% vegan friendly which makes it perfect for those who have more sensitive skin and who share our moral values of wanting to use products which contain less chemicals and harsh ingredients. If this sounds like something you’ve been looking for, book now for a consultation with Lisa and start your journey to achieving those dream brows.
